October 3, 2011 | “Homeroom” Preview

Here’s a preview of my idea in progress for the upcoming show “School Night Open House” “Homeroom” at Subtext Gallery here in San Diego November 11th. Artists were asked to take a piece of art from their childhood and reinterpret it in their current style.

So I think I must have been inspired by the movie “Beauty and the Beast” when i was younger… hence all the magical roses I don’t remember how old I was when I drew it, but if it was around the time the movie came out, then I must have been about 8 years old.

The list of participating artists is so exciting! This is going to be an amazing show! Can’t wait!
